Small Grains

— Written By Sherry Ramsey

Small Grains are an important part of the farming program in Caswell County. They work as a cash crop, as well as a good conservation tool for soil erosion and disease management for other crops. Wheat, oats and rye are the major grains grown. Approximately 6,000 acres are grown each year.
