RAFI-Logo-Final

The Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI) is now accepting applications for their Agricultural Reinvestment Fund grant program. This program provides cost-share grants to farmers and farmer groups to fund innovative projects on the farm. Please visit their website to learn more about the program and to download an application!

Agricultural Reinvestment Fund Grants Program

The following counties are eligible to apply for these grant funds: Randolph, Chatham, Alamance, Davidson, Davie, Caswell, Person, Orange, Durham, Granville, Vance, Warren, Franklin, Halifax, Northampton, Hertford, Bertie, and Chowan.

Visit the RAFI website to see a list of funded projects from previous years.

The early bird application deadline is November 30. Early Bird applicants will receive feedback before the final deadline to strengthen their application. The final deadline is January 5, 2017. RAFI plans to award the grants no later than February 28, 2017.

RAFI staff will hold a workshop for farmers interested in applying for a grant on Tuesday November 15 at 5:00 p.m. Applicants are encouraged to attend to learn about the Agricultural Reinvestment Fund grant program for farmers and agricultural enterprises. The workshop will be held at the RAFI office in Pittsboro, NC. Farmers, ag entrepreneurs, and other agricultural businesses and community-based groups are encouraged to attend.
