Interested in organic production? PCC’s Small Business Center, North Carolina Growing Together Project/Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) and N.C. Cooperative Extension of Caswell County will be providing a free seminar training series on the business of organic farm operations. The five-week training course (September 4, 11, 18, 25, and October 2) will teach what organically certified means, the process to become organically certified, how to maintain organic certification, organic farm operations business planning, record keeping, organic product pricing and organic product marketing. Each session can be registered for individually, but it is strongly recommended to register and attend the entire 5-session course. Students who complete all five sessions will have access to an on-farm organic certification consultation with CEFS Farming Systems Specialist, Melissa Bell. For more information see the attached flyer.

Register online and find the dates of all five seminars. Seminars will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and will take place at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Caswell County Center.
