Collapse ▲Industrial hemp is one of the fastest growing commodities in North Carolina. To provide unbiased research-based information to producers and interested parties, N.C. Cooperative Extension of Caswell County is partnering with the Caswell County Industrial Hemp Growers Association.
The Caswell County Industrial Hemp Growers Association is the first and only county growers association of its kind in the state. The first association meeting will be January 31, 2019, from 6–8 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Caswell County Center and have an educational presentation. Dinner will be provided; thus registration and a fee of $10.00 is required to attend and can be paid at the door.
The presentation will be conducted by Nate Bruce, Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent for Caswell County. Nate has evaluated and observed the industrial hemp industry closely the past two growing seasons. Nate will present information on cannabinoid oil (CBD) hemp production in North Carolina.
Space is limited to those who register. To register for the meeting, please contact North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Caswell County Center at 336-694-4158 by noon on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
