We love the youth in our county and we want to make sure they have plenty to do that is fun and educational! So this month we have programs for youth to attend and even something for the adults! Here is a list of what is going on. We have given many websites listed, however, if you have any questions please feel free to contact Caswell County 4-H Agent Brandi Boaz.
-Livestock Shows- We currently have two livestock shows youth ages 5-18 can register for. These two will allow youth to showcase lambs, goats, hogs and beef cattle. Pittsylvania (Opening Soon) Caswell Youth Livestock Show & Sale- -Deadline to register is February 28, 2026 more about this show can be found at https://sites.google.com/vt.edu/pcyla/home. Central Piedmont Livestock Show & Sale-Deadline to register is March 15, 2026 you can find out more about this show at https://sites.google.com/ncsu.edu/cpjls.
-Poultry Shows – We currently have two poultry shows youth ages 5-18 can register for. Youth Market Turkey Show Deadline to register is March 5, 2026. You can register for this event at v2.4honline.com in the events section. -Scholarship Opportunities for Seniors in our area that we know of! Bobby Aldridge (Cattlemen’s Association) Scholarship You do not have to be in the Cattlemen’s Association or own cattle to apply. Cy Vernon FFA Scholarship. SECU Scholarship for SECU members.
It’s cold now but summer is around the corner. Caswell 4-H doesn’t know where we are going for overnight camp yet. However, Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center has two weeks of DAY CAMP! Youth ages 7-14 can attend 4-H day camp. June 29-July 3 and August 3-7 at BJP 4-H Center will hold day camps. Parents can sign up and find more information at bjpenn4h.org/s .org/summer-camp/day-camp on contact the 4-H office. Parents must find transportation to and from the camp daily. We also have several North Carolina State University Camp opportunities for high school students they include Horticulture Science Institute, Poultry Summer Science Immersion, and Resource Conservation Workshop – Contact Caswell Soil & Water.
