Caswell 4-H Summer Fun Programs!

Did last week's Spring Break remind you that your kids need something to do when they are out of school?  Something fun and educational?  Well we have some great programs at Caswell County 4-H!  Texas Children's Hospital researchers state that "On average children lose one to three months of academic skills over the summer, a phenomenon known as "summer slide". Math skills are generally more affected than reading, with students potentially losing 25%–34% of their school-year gains in math compared to 17%–28% in reading."

We at the 4-H office want to give your children a fun opportunity to lessen the "summer slide" and have a great time! Caswell 4-H has many opportunities for youth this summer.  Our are popular and first come first serve so make sure to look in your child's backpack, stop by the 4-H office, Gunn Memorial Library, or Caswell Mercantile to get your Caswell County 4-H Summer Fun brochure today! You will also be able to find it on the Caswell Extension Website, Caswell 4-H Facebook and Instagram pages. Registration will begin on Tuesday, May 5th at 8:30 am on our 4-H online system. A few things to note, there are specific age requirements for all classes and 4-H age is the child's age as of January 1, 2026.  Payments can only be cash or check.  If you know someone in need who would benefit from our classes and does not have the financial means to participate, please contact Brandi Boaz, Caswell 4-H agent as soon as possible.

Please look for this brochure near you today!
